I know you are very passionate about the river Ian but then nature plays a part doesnt it in the amount of flow and so on. I know you are an expert and I wouldnt dream of claiming I know more about it, not by a long chalk, but arent we in an era of red tape, rules and regulations, health and safety. Even the little park yesterday was affected by health and safety. So those River Watch days now seem to belong to long ago, to another era.
... but at least the event yesterday was something positive to do with the river and its fringes. Since those old days when there was little positive, there is now various flag-ups of the Dour to catch the tourist eye.
