Helen you are right and so were the tourists about that road up there. Im amazed there hasnt been many a serious accident. The corners are blind. I came around such a blind corner up there a year or so back to be suddenly facing a group of rambling tourists. I was on a manouverable motorbike and I managed not to hit them due to being able to manouver the bike fairly easily, also i was only ambling along which helped. But there they were suddenly around a blind corner, occupying a considerable section of left hand side of the road..leaving the driver nowhere to go.
Bit more speed and in a car and...well...more statistics!
