Anyone know of a good reliable handyman,no bodge merchants please.I need some laminate flooring done.Had someone coming to do it and was let down three times.I,ve a fencing job which needs doing, asked a local company for a quote and was again let down, the whole day was wasted as they never showed up.Also need a patio laid at some time, the man that was coming to do it suddenly split up with his wife and his van failed the mot,or so he says.I really dont have much luck with these type of things and i,ve no time to do it myself.Do you know anyone?

you have my sympathies Andy.
Why do these tradesmen promise to come and then not bother to come, if they do not want the job why not simply say so in the first place.
I have some work on my steps that needs doing plus some other bits and pieces so I asked a builder who lives very near me to come and give a quote, never turned up saw him a few days later and he apologised saying he forgot and he arranged another time, again never turned up.
I still need the work done plus some rooms decorating so any recommendations welcome.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Hi Andy, there's a guy who did some garden work and re-layed part of my patio, charged hourly, very hard working I would certainly recommend, he's going to do some tiling for me when i get around to sorting it. Can I email you his number not sure if he would want me to post it on forum.
