  just to mention that the museum is holding two family days this week.
  
  tuesday the 25th is games day where children can try out all sorts of games from the past and wednesday the 26th is decoupage day, apparently it is about making and decorating a box.
  
  admission free to all residents of the district with proof of address.

  very little as far as i can ascertain, the castle will be doing fun and games to do with hallowe'en all through the week right up until they lay off some staff at the end of it.
  
  a day up there is great fun with actors employed to play ghoulish parts but it is expensive for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

  maybe it will be keith, who can tell?
  
  after hunting high and low i can find nothing else happening over the half term break locally.
  
  it would be good to hear of anything going on that does not cost an arm and a leg that woud take the pressure off of beleagured parents and grandparents.

  plenty going on up at the castle, car parks full the place heaving with people from all over.
