  As we are in the depths of winter, albeit sunny today, I thought I'd cheer you all up with this glimpse of a summer in the mid 80's.

  I remember them in the 90s when we moved here.
  
  If I'm correct, the Hoteliers Group were great supporters of this. I know Annette from the Penny Farthing and Adeline of Number 1 Guest House were always working hard to raise funds for the hospital.

  And yes, support dwindled. The League of Friends found that they could no longer run it due mainly to their committee getting older. The Rotary Club took it on for a couple of years. However, even 10 years ago the public's perception was that BHD was closing so that the support for the L.O.F (and Hospital Radio) just wasn't there.
