    I don't think I have ever read a thread containing so much ignorance, prejudice and bigotry. And probably hypocrisy as well - anyone who has ever eaten lamb or chicken in an Indian restaurant or a kebab shop has almost certainly enjoyed halal meat. Bookers cash & carry (where many independent catering outlets buy most of their meat - we don't, by the way) claims that all its lamb and chicken is halal.

    So if you really object to halal slaughtering, boycott the outlets which use halal meat. Or just eat pork and fish or game.
