Next week the Pleasley Pit event takes place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th. This is always a really good event with a number of stalls including the Notts Ex & Retired Miners and the Justice for Mineworkers.
Saturday is usually the busiest & best day with some kind of aerial display such as a Lancaster.
There is also a speaker, last year it was Dennis Skinner.
Pleasley pit is just a couple of miles north of Mansfield off the A6191.
If you want to get an insight on a miners life, this is one not to miss.
