  totally disagree bern, newspapers have to sell they are not charitable institutions.
  
  market forces come into play, they have to supply their customers with what they want to read, much the same as a shop supplies the needs of its customers.
  
  we are lucky to have an almost free speech, if someone is wronged they have the right to go through the courts to gain recompense against a paper that incorrectly says that they have been naughty.
