Those attending Age UK at the Riverside were greeted by 3 caravans and a host of Irish sounding folk(I am not at all prejudice) I was saying as the Council must be raking in Car Parking charges. Perhaps that is why they didn't seem too bothered about moving them.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Saw em in maison dieu car park this morning music blasting kids and dogs running around 5x caravans in total 1 occupying all three disabled bays next to the cab offices. They were ticketed on Sunday ( no chance of them being paid ) they were given their marching orders by ddc this morning. A foreign coach parked up by the riverside had its diesel pinched overnight and they've been using the side of the cab offices as a communal toilet.... absolutely disgusting pile of cr@& this lot ....

Was told they got onto the Rec via a broken fence next to the school some of them parked right inbetween the goal posts so its tough if anyone wants to play football.Too much pampering and human rights so situations like this will just carry on and on. If laws were changed so a JCB could be on standby and one hour notice given to go or anyone in the caravans removed by force and let the digger do the rest, problems such as this would end overnight.

This also happen some years ago on one of my familys farm ,but they picked on the wrong person,he done no more then went to his factory paid some of the men to go with him to where they were, also taking a JCB with them .HE told the group to move out right away and take their rubbish with them and do not come back, they told him what would he do if they do not move on,he done no more then told the J.CB driver to dig a big hole around the caravans but stopped .and left a gap so the caravans could move out, he then told them to go or they never get out again, they started to shout at him ,he then called out to his workman to come over,on seeing them ,they soon moved on and have never come back.

Apparently there is a gate but that only has a simple opening device so it was easy for them to open.
Maybe a few well aimed goal shots from a group of body builders might encourage them to leave.

Nothing will encourage them to leave Jan, we had them in Whitfield a couple of years ago. They just go when want to, no matter what you do. And boy do they leave you a mess!!

One fairly local landowner a few years ago very early one morning blocked a group
in with some well placed very large logs which only allowed pedestrian access so all their assorted cars and caravans could not leave. As far as I know this group never invaded his very rural woodland again.

The concrete blocks have been used in Dover in the past,on the industrial estate in Coombe Valley and on the track at the rear of the boys grammer school. This idea isnt always successful as the Travellers will sometimes pay someone a drink to move them with a Hi-ab or digger as happened at a disused factory in Barwick rd some years ago.

Council and Police are not doing their jobs.
If only everyone could be kind and honest what a better world we would be in.

The answer seems to be put them ahead of everybody else on the housing waiting list.
