  FORGOTTEN ARCHCLIFFE GUIDED WALK
  Starting at 1pm
  descend from the Western Heights to the sites of the Victorian South Lines Battery and the Royal Military Hospital, hear about the WW2 anti-invasion defences and even have a brief visit inside Archcliffe Fort.

  Only a few on the walk sadly probably cos it was stay in the garden with a beer weather, so we went rather off-piste and explored a few areas not generally accessible on a normal walk

  can't say i am too surprised, after a few days of the heatwave a lot of people would just be planning to do something with very little exertion.
  
  the uphill walk at the end back up to st martins battery must have been no fun in today's heat.
