Close Reg it was a fork lift truck unloading a shrink wrapped pallet, you can just pick out the end of it in this photo.

Intriguingly that stretch of pavement has been cordoned off since this morning.

Spot the difference between the picture in post 94 of this thread and the picture above. Something to do with that?

So that part of the rumour was true. the second part was that the current Londis outlet would be converted into a walkway to the DTIZ. I didn't post it at the time as it seemed too fanciful.

That would make sense as there is already a footbridge over the river at precisely that point.
I still think knocking the block down and opening the whole development up to the market sq would be better.

The craftier lorry drivers are now coming down Castle Hill into Woolcomber St & joining the queues via the traffic lights at the Sports Centre, avoiding roundabouts & getting into the traffic steam a couple if hundred yards from Eastern Dock entrance.

There were a few taking that route last week. I hope the crafty ones keep it to themselves or there could be even more chaos for local residents.

They are also coming down Frith Road then onto Maison Dieu Road with the same intention and who can blame them.

That route down Castle Hill is the one they have been directed to take during overnight closures for work on Jubilee Way recently, so well known to them.

Ok as long as they dont make any wrong turnings like a few have done in the past.
