.........from the management.............
I thought it wouldn't take long before the dumping of garden waste began in the district. Today there are 3 large grey plastic
sacks full of garden waste dumped by the roadside between Eythorne and Barfreston. I wonder how much it will cost the
council to sort it.

so predictable the western heights will be next to suffer now that people are getting out in their gardens due to the good weather.

Keith - if you regularly collect what the horses leave, you definitely need a pumpkin !!

For all you gardeners
Tip. Get 1 dustbin
1 part horse poo 2 parts water
1 drill and plasterers Wisk from B&Q
Wisk it up so it will go through the watering can.
It smells just like sh.t, Not good for the squeamish,
Best get the wife to do it they are trained in nappies and all that stuff
PS.
But the smell takes me back to my travelling days in India.

I used to just put the horse droppings round the plants as it does not smell and when planting a fresh tub up a dollop in the bottom then a good covering of soil. Done this way the fertilizer is gradually released.

Talking of smelly manure never put fresh chicken manure round plants it is much to strong for them it has to be well rotted.

Don't let the fishmonger throw away fish trimmings, dig them into your garden - especially pumpkins.
When I was young and we lived in Grimsby, father used to get a lorry load of fish 'manure' delivered from the docks (free of charge!) and it was put in a big trench on the allotment - nothing like it for growing veg and sweet peas !

Management report.
There has been an increase in complaints about garden bomb fires in local parishes. It appears those not dumping the green waste are burning it.
PS. DDC may explain these are additional beacons for the Queen`s Jubilee';
