  Tom, a friend of mine owns a wood just outside Dover. It is SSSI designated and he has recently received a grant to do work to maintain its status but also develop it as an educational facility on woodcraft, natural history, the environment etc. It has numerous public footpaths and a bridleway running through it.
  
  There are a good number of us who volunteer to help in various tasks in this including wood clearing for making logs, charcoal making, building a gazebo from on-site materials and running some introductory days for teachers.
  
  We can alll testify that the youngsters in and around Dover do indeed have a great passion for motor-cycle sport, particularly of the off-road variety.
