  Tom, I can only agree with you while being appalled by any act of vandalism - by its nature that is a random act of destruction and to be discouraged. It is outrageous that the good, hard, committed work done by local people - including young people - is open to attack and defacement and of course there must be consequences for the perps as that is how people, especially children, learn. but I share that revulsion for vilification of young people, many of whom I have known at their worst who have become their best, often because they have been encouraged into the right ways as well as discouraged from the wrong.
