    Yes, I think so. I didn't really get a chance to talk to him during the day as he was whisked off on Tracy and Mandy's tour, but yes I believe so. He actually had a family up there and was housed in the married quarters.

    In the last two years we've had three or four people with relatives up there, one with a great-great-great grandfather who featured in the 1861 census, two with relatives who manned the WW1 searchlights and a chap whose grandfather was in the Irish Guards there in 1940 and left his name on the wall. Always adds something special when you meet someone with a personal connection to the bricks and mortar.
