I recall around 20 years ago at a large labour meeting in Deal where leading lights were saying we should go out campaigning against grammar schools.
I asked the question isn't the chairs son at grammar?
isn't the MP daughter at grammar?
Isnt the labour organiser son at grammar
how can we then go on the streets opposing?

It became quite a big argument, because I questioned at the interval the treasurer of the party whos husband was chair came to me and n my face said don't you dare question my husband again
So I did tell her I wouldn't be taking part in he second half as I would probably give her a few choice words and she may never speak to me again lol

it was a nice train journey home from walmer lol
