I too went to Grammar school( but not till I was 13, putting me 2 years behind everyone else) and hated every moment of it , but I would not deny anyone the opportunity of going to one. The opportunities and experiences I had were far better than those of my contempories who I left behind at comprehensive school.
Having selective education at least gives a choice to be made by parents and pupils and Kent should be applauded for giving that choice.
