  I wonder if this doctor is a kleptomaniac and in need of medical care, surely she was not in need of the money.

  Yes, obviously she has a problem and needs help herself in the same way that she will have trained for so long to give help to others.
  
  Reminds me irresistibly of the tragic case of Lady Isobel Barnett back in the early days of TV. A glittering personality who was caught stealing a tin of fish and a carton of milk and was found dead in her bath two days later.
  
  From the link below, she was also aware of various goings-on at the BBC which have only come to light with all the shenanigans which have been revealed since the Jimmy Savile case.

  I'm old enough to remember her - a lovely Lady, in the true sense of the word. Pity she wasn't able to be more successful in her exposure of the things that were going on.
  
  I'm sure in the corridors of the early/old BBC, things as described in this link, did happen. I'd like to think they don't now.
