the reasons for world war one are many and varied, i still don't why - what i do know is there was carnage on an unimaginable scale with the mass slaughter of young men whilst generals claimed a few yards of ground.
i thought the black adder thing was well thought out and presented.

i have read that some archduke chap got bumped off, no reason for australians, new zealanders and canadians amongst others to be sent to their deaths.

When one army mobilised so did all the rest , all posturing and defence alliances coming into play that started the ball rolling.
Maybe one day one of our new friends on the Russian boarders may light the blue paper for us .
