Despite telling on-line maps that I live in London Road and not Beaconsfield Road, yes, my part of London Road is Beaconsfield on most maps, I see that Google have altered theirs.
It appears that I now live in Erith Place!

Odd things these satellites ..... Someone in Spain pointed out to me that AIS states that the Seafrance Berlioz was actually recorded as being in Madrid on Jan. 31 this year.
Pretty good going that for two reasons. Firstly, Madrid is on the central Spanish plateau about 200 miles from the nearest sea; and secondly, everbody else was convinced the Berlioz was laid up in Calais! ...

Satnavs do not run Google Earth as far as I'm aware - at least not the purpose-built kit for cars/trucks/bikes. Smartphone apps may do though.

For those who like looking at the town, It looks like Google Maps have updated their aerial views of Dover. If you look at the Buckland Mill site you can see the new flats there which makes the photo much more recent.

It must have been updated within the last 12 months. It shows our block in Victoria Park shrouded in scaffolding which it was from November 2012 until late summer 2013.

I think its disgusting that they should make a stupid mistake like that. Its not as if they have photographed the whole planet, and even if they had its not really that big a place is it. Technology ? Ha ! Back to pen and paper I think, and get it right this time !

They've changed the car outside of my pad recently, so they must do an update occassionally.

It shows my neighbours new garden design that was completed in July, and the runner bean row on my allotment this year.

The updates must be patchy, the white car on the forecourt of the King's Hall is the same one from the previous "edition". After being there for about 3 years it was found to have rat's nest next to the battery when it was finally towed away!
