For those who like to visit or support East Kent Railway at Shepherdswell I have just seen the following.........
"We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the railway and it’s assets after the recent spate of vandalism we have endured.
We have today had fantastic meetings with Thelien Security Group and Kent Police who will be undertaking regular patrols of the grounds, track beds and stations.
We are very grateful to Christian at Thelien Security who will be providing fully trained dog handlers and their furry companions to the railway.
We are additionally grateful to Kent Police who have also agreed to step up patrols.
Remember, vandalism is a crime, trespassing is a crime, interfering with railway assets is a crime, don’t take the risk!
FWe are still fundraising to help get us through the COVID-19 Pandemic and to help us repair and replace vandalised signs and fences, if you can help us now is the time, we are looking to reopen our Café and Woodland Miniature Railway this weekend and our mainline services in the coming weeks, please, if you can, help us achieve this!
