I was just looking for the location and found this building in St James Lane. Does anyone know what it is/was?

That's an old photo Penny the building was the cinema, now demolished and the site for a 6 storey block of flats.

All very encouraging, I knew Mr Sandilands owned the former Jobcentre and renovated it in time for the Olympic flame visit but not sure what other properties he owns. I seem to remember that DDC had money put aside for improving the link between Market Square and St James.

I'm impressed Sue but you have been fibbing about your age, at least 73 years ago you were working here in Dover. You must have some good yarns to tell us about the Luftwaffe.

Was that the old Granada, fronting onto Castle Street? I met my husband there in 1957. I'm new to this forum, this is my first post.
