The land assembly issue is proving frustrating for us too. Three properties on the south side of Castle St (us, the old Ian Farthing's solicitor's office at no 50, and the chip shop) will lose part of our back gardens. The council have purchased the garden of no 50 already and we have agreed in principle to swap the back half of ours with the near half of no 50. Fine but it's all now held up because some bright spark in the Conservation department has decided that they need listed building consent to demolish this ugly duckling:
