I don't see them as sad digs, merely amusing observations. As I've said, I like Mr Elphicke from the few times I have met him. You will also find it impossible to find me writing or saying a bad word about him, past or present.
As I've already set out, my issue is with this absurd game of where an MP 'lives', and having biogs that aren't really rooted in reality.
I am simply questioning the difference between 'representing the government/party in a constituency' and 'representing a constituency in government'.
Having someone who is actually a part of the community rather than just a conduit for information is surely more desirable.
Remember:
"We each care passionately about the beauty or ugliness of our surroundings, the cleanliness or dirtiness of the street we live on, the performance of our local school, or crime levels in our neighbourhood. When a community sees the opportunity to improve these things, it is more motivated to act."
