I can confirm that Charlie is alive and well, although I do think he has lost a little weight but that's not a bad thing.
Being curious with a letter being posted through my door in the middle of Saturday afternoon, swiftly opened, it to see it was headed Conservative; I quickly opened the door to see who the offender was.
Two doors up was Charlie, so I called him back for a chat.
We agreed not to talk politics but stick to community and I have to say we got on very well.
The moral of this story is thus, I live in the middle of what is left of our mining area of Mill Hill and Gwyn visited this area many times but to see Charlie, all on his own, treading our streets, was unusual to say the least. Good on him.
Charlie is definitely not lacking ambition or the foresight to see the need to work together in our communities.
