Ashford Town Team Manager
Salary up to £35,088 pa
plus lease car or essential car user allowance.
Town Centres are currently going through a radical period of change. The Ashford Town Team Manager will need to embrace this change and work to define the characteristics, roles and experiences that will support the evolution of a vibrant and prosperous Town Centre, and will establish a unique Ashford experience.
This exciting new role of Town Team Manager in a Portas Pilot Town is required to create and deliver projects that will increase footfall and spend within Town Centre businesses.
The post holder will be expected to:
Lead the Ashford Portas Pilot Project, and establish and deliver a programme of activity to stimulate the vitality and viability of Ashford Town Centre.
Help define the role of Ashford Town Centre by building on the Ashford 2030 Framework developing the town centre Vision, and improving the management of Ashford Town Centre.
Champion the views of Ashford Town Centre businesses and residents ensuring they are relayed to the Town Team
The post holder must have a good understanding of the issues that town centres face and the experience and skills in retail and marketing to deliver solutions that will increase commercial activity and differentiate Ashford from other town centres. We are looking for you to have:
Substantial experience in the retail / marketing / tourism / hospitality industry.
Considerable experience of project management and delivery
The skills to engage businesses and develop dynamic partnership working.
