    I love the image of binoculars being used to see the golly in the window in the first place, I would be unable to see what is in my neighbours windows unless I was very near. This strikes me as sour grapes over the planning situation and there is nothing worse than neighbours at war with each other.

    Basing my judgement on the report I would guess the "villager" is right, they want the rural idyll without the inconvenience of the country life, bet they would complain if cows were in the adjoining field or a cockeral crowed early morning.

    I used to live in lovely Worlingham after we retired from the pub, it is an extension of Beccles a bit like River is to Dover. I just can't remember Worlingham Manor, maybe it was set well back from the road and behind high hedges.
