  Take a look during the summer months when the fishing season is at it's height and see how much rubbish is left on the beach. Disposable barbeques, skip loads of cans and bottles and all sorts of other detritus. Although it's true that much of the rubbish is from the sea and carried by the currents onto the shore much of it is down to people using the beach. It's similar to the harbour beach where much of the rubbish is left for the tides to clean the rubbish as opposed to frequent litter patrols.
