  You must be using a different beach to me Howard. What normally happens is the the rubbish is cleared up by wondrous natural forces - ie. the tide.
  I notice the annual shortage of bins on the beach comprising of perhaps three lots of two bins fifty yards apart. Inevitably they come loose from their moorings ( 3inch post dug into the shingle) and end up in the drink.
  Still waiting for the bins on the prom to be replaced by ones with lids so that the gulls are unable purloin fast food from them after responsible people actually use them.
