just been reading that these stunning birds arrived in our gardens in record numbers last year.
a survey was conducted by the british trust for ornithology and carried out by over 14000 volunteers.
back in 1995 they were the 20th most regular visitor now they are the 10th.
apparently the growth in bird feeders is believed to be responsible.
