Just having a quick browse on the forum, looked up and saw a male Goldfinch enjoying the black sunflower seeds we put out, rare sight in our garden! So far in the last few weeks we have fed a pair of longtailed tits, a female blackcap and now a Goldfinch, add in the SongThrush, three pairs of Blackbirds, Wrens, 2 Robins and assorted Sparows, Dunnocks, Blue and Great tits, Wood pidgions and ringnecked doves and this spring is off to a good start!

Heard the first cuckoo of the year today down by the marshes..

grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.
