  Yes, certainly. It would mean something to have it noted on one's CV that this opportunity to 'taste' the hospitality work environment had been taken-up with gusto. That these ambitious would-be-workers are being offered the opportunity to start 'at the top', and somewhere local too, is also a tremendous plus.
  
  I have no desire to put a dampener on things, but I do hope that the promotion has been thought through, and all the way through.
  It strikes me that; absolutely the worst thing to do would be to throw these putative stars of the future in at the deep end, and expect them to hit the ground running.
