came down castle hill from castle , stopped at traffic lights and where old mfi site was is
in brickwork the letters === __ a__ ag__ , so guess that means garage at some time ,
so anyone know the connection on that corner ?

I think this was answered on a thread a few weeks ago when it was coming down, used to be Southern Autos but there might have been something there before that.

My 1938 Pikes shows it as Southern Autos even then, telephone number Dover 89.

yes you are both right I had a car in the 1950s and my repairs were done there and a mate of mine ended up being the forman.
