  Maybe all well and good for Conferences and the like but with no public transport links a market and ice rink would not succeed.

  An ice rink seems to be the most popular idea for Express readers but as that would appeal mainly to children there is still the problem of public transport access.

  Children should be walking not needing public transport, growing up here we walked everywhere regularly to Folkestone and Deal, unfortunately parents are too lazy themselves and pander to their children.

  When I was first married I walked from the bay into Dover to work at 0400hrs in the morning to the D.E.W. and then sometimes back home some 6 miles each way and my wife done the same with the pram and two dogs. So you are right they do need to walk more .I love walking but my legs will not let me do it anymore and bike.

  If a train station was one of the options (it seems to resemble one already ) that would solve the public transport problem.

  once the work has all been done there will be transport for the public from the town why keep on moaning about it all wait and see,?

  Don't see so many kids on bikes nowadays and most of them use the pavements. I suspect that parents worry about the heavy traffic. Does anyone know whether they still have the "Cycle Proficiency Test"?

  Yes I think s o often see a group of children being coached ,they are from River School.
