  currently around £.1.27 per litre the price is set to soar in the new year.
  
  we have a mixture of factors, the exchange rate against the dollar is unfavourable, but much more because of the new fuel tax rise and the v.a.t. increase.
  
  this will impact on everything we buy in the shops.

  Just been reading about some Americans who whining about paying $3.19 (around £2.02) a gallon.
  Million-to-one chances crop up nine times out of ten.

  All ther better reason I got a car that does 65-70mpg....

  ok some can get cheaper fuel, pity about the larger issue of food prices.
