- 17 August 2014 20:14270806Most of these are very up market so people would be under less stress therefore it follows more friendly, i know Norwich and Saffron Walden quite well and they do have a nice atmosphere.

- 17 August 2014 23:09270810Judith Dover is a special place with a great mix of people. I believe each one of us can make it to a nice place if they wanted to. I love Dover with its unsual mix of landscape,cliffs promenade and surroundings( including wildlife castle etc.
All which needs updating is the towncentre itself.
Having spoken to some tourist over the time. they love the hills but not the town centre it does look deprived.

Unfortunately things move very slowly and too many British visitors have a fixed idea of what to expect in Dover. I also love Dover and spend as much time as I can (work permitting) in Dover where I grew up. Dover people both natives and newcomers are generally very friendly and welcoming.
- 18 August 2014 09:09270819Good old Saffron Walden.Spent many times there in my youth.It is lovely as are the surrounding villages.Very rural.Yes there are a lot of people who commute to London or Cambridge but a lot of residents are from the old farming families and local firms.
I was brought up where everyone spoke to each other and gave a helping hand .We all knew each other.
