Unless it's a commercial appliance or still in warranty you're flogging a dead horse..
If you can't repair it yourself chuck it away and get a new one. Or go to the Heart Foundation shop in Castle St and get a second hand one.

Thanks Vic and Peter. I have had second thoughts about repairing it, just found the invoice and it is nine and a half years old and cost £127 so I have had my moneysworth. After call out charges and the repair it won't be worth it so I am taking Peter's advice and chucking it. Thanks again fellas.
