I realise this is Canterbury but East Kent housing cover us as well so the scheme may be extended if successful.

Hi, yes I heard about this, intend to follow this up with officers at DDC. It will be CCC who will be putting the money up in their area and may have got some external funding. I managed a similar scheme in the 90's when I was a housing manager at Shepway and is good way of releasing much needed accommodation. It stopped when the money ran out!

Apparently the scheme has been extended to Dover, each eligible tenant will get £.30,000 - £20,000 from central government and £10,000 from local government. Seems a good idea as it gives those in desperate need a better chance of getting a council place.
