FREE Open Day at White Mill Rural Heritage Museum Thursday!

FREE Open Day 27th October from 10 am till 4 pm
The White Mill Museum is hosting a special open day to allow parents and children to experience the White Mill and all it has to offer. This Thursday we will be:
Grinding you own flour on our hand operated mill stone = great fun for all
Paint/draw a picture of the mill - win a prize!
Other attractions on the day will include:
The Mill forge in operation, watch how they make horseshoes and more!
Bring a picnic - FREE tea coffee available to all grown ups. Water and or fruit juice available to children.
Heated meeting room and small kitchen area
Disable facilities on site.
Lots of other things to see and do inside the Millers Cottage and Windmill!

It's FREE admission but if you would like to make a donation on the day then that would help with the upkeep of the White Mill for future generations to enjoy!

Past the white mill is the lovely nursery of Archer's Low.---------------------------------------------------

- 26 October 2011 16:21133381Just a quick update...the Mill will be open what ever the weather tomorrow, Thursday, and as most of the stuff is under cover you shouldn't get wet if we have the odd shower! ..It takes about an hour to get the forge up to temperature..so It will be nice and warm! FREE entrance and FREE Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks... hope to see a few people there !

- 28 October 2011 11:00133694It was a most interesting visit, and there are now so many things to see at the White Mill Centre, wonderful displays of tools, old photographs and old farming equipment.
Our neighbours whom we brought with us, were very impressed and will be visiting again, as we will.
It was good to see both local newspapers photographers there.
And we had a lovely hot drink thanks to the ladies.---------------------------------------------------
