    Heike, This may be of help, when shooting through a window -1 make sure the glassis as clean as you can get it, 2 - get the lens as close to the glass as you can, once the glass is below the cameras minimum focus point the camera won't see it and so you should get a cleaner shot, your panning is fine but the shutter speed was a bit low, put you camera onto shutter priority and set a speed no less then 500th, this will freeze the movement.
