Sheila, She might be all fine, But do you know if other residents be as good? Foxes arent Humans, These animals cant see what is expensive and what is not. As for the smell and trying to keep them away, the Lady you referring to can ask for advise. Ask the local vets if they dont know themselves usually still can give you other useful information.

Also if the dogs are resonable in size, The foxes will not attack them. Actually they will stay away as they can smell dogs markings.
Tell you what humans are worse then a view foxes in the garden. I had them in my garden again this morning. It was a joy wathching all of them. Over an hour, Playing, running around, catching flies, jumping etc. My little Girl was static and so was my son. Both watched them with fascination. At the same time we gave them both a bit of backround knowledge about foxes. This I can assure you will not be forgotten in a childs mind.
