It's always been a figure of speech though Barry hasn't it ? I would never have thought of him as a wishy washy leftie, an equal opportunities killer - great expressions.
Keith, in your post number 8, you say that the Express is not a leftie paper (which is right, it isnt) because it is against benefits cheats, the inconsistency of the judiciary and exposing loose controls (if any) on immigration.
Does that mean that if you are a lefty, you support benefit cheats, inconsistent sentencing and no immigration controls ?
Good Labour policies we've seen over the years that have brought this country to bankuptcy - financial and moral.

It was the lefty labourites that tabled legislation for bringing back embarkation control scrapped by the right wing tories. Both parties are against benefit cheats but it was labour that introduced the shop a cheat telephone hotline. Finally it was Blairs brigade that banged up more crimbo's then ever before in history.

will be interesting to see how much money is paid in benefits over the next few years.
could be a record, only offset by the tax credits taking away from working people.
