(1) I am in no party.(2) Any council I am siting on I play apart in the every day working of that councl and the parish,in other words I work and so do most if not all other parish cllrs do.(3)I would not call myself a politician.(4) I do not talk about parish councils or work alot because it would only bor you if you do not live in one of the parish council I am on.(5)I am not standing just to annoy the main partys I do that now without standing,but I do it to keep them on their toes,We see at the D.D.C.today a council that has lost its way and that is that way (1) The old school tie that is keeping some of the old cllrs and officers in the same roll.I have said this many times we have the right party there running it but most of them are not true blues.Mr Walkins I think is a good talker and works and a good leader but it is what following him thats needs to be looked at and as I said ,it is the old school tie network,if he got rid of that put new faces in then and only then will we see a change.
As I see it there are some officers most in fact are very good and even over worked with having to take over the cuts that have been made, meaning same amount of work or even more with less officers. But the planning dept does need change. THe views I put forward are mine and mine alone and they all might not be right.But to say I am there just for my own egos it very very wrong,at 70years old and not in the best of heath I do not need any egos as you have wrongly put.I do like what I do at times and find it hard to walk away from it.+ It helps to keep me going.
