Beautiful picture in today’s Mercury of Diana Smallwood.One of the most gracious Mayors Dover has ever had .A real lady .who knew how to represent her town in a manner befitting to the mayoral role.In the same manner as the former Chairman of DDC Mrs Amelia Williamson a true lady .

I won't get into who is/isn't the best mayor.
but I have to reply on Cllr Williamson she was the opposite party to me
but always took an interest I me, my politics, even out and about she spoke with my wife as though she had known her all her life.
There are very few cllrs like this (Cllr Newman being one other)
