You may have noticed as you creep about your daily doings that your glorious government has acted to improve both your viewing and sailing pleasure.
The bold Dave, for it is he. Has let-go-aft and for'ad and pushed Europe off and away to fend for itself at long last.
What, at one time, may (nay should) have be considered as the Greater Britain, fought for and hard won by the jolly Jack-tar and the stalwart Tommy; has again been set free to make it's own way in the world.
I am sure that an equally Bold Word-smith will have their own take upon these matters nearby, but the truth of the matter is still that, "We are a grandmother."
While I very well could wax lyrical about belatedly fending-off the too-long-suckling Europe from the pap of the UK, I am sure to hear lots of such guff when I venture across the page, but Tripe for breakfast? No thank you.

Ah but Tom is our ship watertight? I fear not. Our leaky vessel needs upkeep, constant maintenance, and woe betide those amongst us who steer us far from the shore. For upon that shore lie those who will render it assistance in its hour of trading need. Reflecting on bygone empires is folly, the world has shrunk, dont lose the liferaft thrown from near neighbours.

Paul, read not between the lines, but what is actually written in the lines of all newspaper articles: "to save the euro"!
Europe wants us to sacrifice ourselves to save the euro, while we sit here counting the pennies.
It's nothing to do with "saving Britain" that Europe is interested in.

There was an interesting spin in one of the newspapers, and it was mentioned on TV yesterday. Its not that the UK has left the EU, its more that the other 26 countries have left the UK.

While is not my intent to sound churlish, Paul, did you not read that here first?
