Yes I've seen some lake water on the Shannon very choppy too but perhaps not quite as bad as that Andy. Bet that was an eye opener.
The pictures on the STORM thread from Ed showing the difficulties experienced by the ferries was jaw dropping.
I searched back and found this 'perilous' picture dating from 2007..havent used it before but weather almost identical to today. Coupled with the Lifeboat story, Ed's ferry pictures, and the current rough weather.. it all reminds us of the perils of being out there.
