  Jan, I am so proud of Lily. I am proud of all my four children, but they are all so different. Jacquis kind and so very much appreciated comments set me off thinking about the nature/nurture debate. I think we brought all our children up the same, worked hard to encourage freedom of thought, courtesy and charm. And yet they are all so different in how they behave!! I see parents blamed for so much - sometimes with cause it has to be said! - but I am also acutely aware that kids from the same family/household can behave very differently indeed despite the similarity of parenting. I am cautious about blaming anyone for anything without an entire picture, but especially parents for whom the challenges can be so great. But actually, overall our children do behave well, even if one or two of them took a little time to settle and one or two behave better than the others! And I love them all so very much. EEkkkk - soft and fluffy is emerging again!!
