Think it's time to update of Dover football club.
Apart from some changes in the directors hopefully making the club more stable,
on the pitch where dover were some 10 points off the 5th play off place
last saturday saw them win 3-2 away from home and 5th place lose for the second time.
Dover now sit in 6th place 3 points 5th placed chelmsford with a game in hand.
Its all to play for once again.
Being a loyal supporter win ,lose, or draw it's good i think to highlight some of the good times.
Of course having the town's football club doing well has a feel good factor in the town, and dover is one of the best supported of the non league clubs, home and away.
The club is ambitious to get to the football league, which should always be clung on to.
At this time though its that 5th space dover should be pushing for,
and need support in that final push.
k

With Chelmsford apparently choking we are possibly in with a shout of the play offs, how I don't know! The season could really get interesting if we can keep winning, are we ready to go up to a National league though?

If they can make it through nine games in five and a half weeks surely they can do anything.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Talking of feelgood factor, try this:

Videos from the day Dover won the Ryman Premier championship.
A day that was simply perfect - even the timing of Hastings' equaliser against our closest rivals Staines that, added to our 6-0 win, enabled us to clinch the title, was so dramatically late as to make for exquisite drama.

Andrew
they were good times, and as loyal supporters we know the good and bad times
are dover good enough to go up?that remains a very big question, first they have to achieve that 5th spot, then in 2 legs get through the play off's
MARTIN;
Let's just say they do, then will have more travelling(higher costs) higher wages for the players, and for a small club like Dover it is questionable whether or not they could hold there own in the higher league.
The chairman/manager are very ambitious for the club(like all clubs)
but again dover is not seen as aplace for players to come to play
If i'm honest i think they woud struggle at a higher level(if they get there)
without more investment.
but i would be so happy to be proved wrong

Just the average playing budget of the teams in the Conference is many times ours, never mind everything else, but if you get the chance you have got to go for it. Its what we have been building up to and if not this year theres always next year

Over 1000 people on line following the live text updates from the game, amazing. 8 points from a run of 4 away games is a good return, Billy Bricknell with another goal , we may just scrape the play offs yet.
