The post you are reporting:
I've been away for 5 weeks, so haven't been able to read or post on here.
Like Howard said, I have been on to DDC waste services and environmental health etc. for years and Peter Wallace has been on to them since being elected; like me, he has had meetings with various officers and departments; the rubbish gets collected and tenants advised (in their own language) of their responsibilities and what they can and cannot do.
A couple of days later, the rubbish is back and nothing has changed.
To my mind, as these people have been spoken to for so long and so many times (the tenants and the landlords) and haven't taken any notice at all, it must now be time for fines to be issued.
It is a disgrace for everyone, all users, businesses and residents of Folkestone Road, deserve better.
Also as Vic has said, we knew this would happen and advised the Planning department NOT to allow these tiny rabbit-hutch flat conversions to go ahead.
With all the hoped for investment and development in this area, it will need some serious cleaning up beforehand.
