Are the police still checking lorries on the A20 because of the heightened terror alert?
HGVs are using Foklketsone Road as a rat run all night and they have no business being there - besides which they are defeating the checks, and this making them ineffective.
Surely the police should be stopping them going this way?

Folkestone Road from Townside completely closed due to accident.
Anyone know what this is about.
You have to have sympathy for anyone who lives on or near this road.

Totally astonished that the driver was unscathed, someone must have been watching over her.

Yeah right! Surely if 'someone was watching over her' he/she/it would have stepped in BEFORE the accident?

I heard there were police checks last week Reginald because of the terror alert.
Kind of relieved that it is an official diversion but terrible news that this is for 11 weeks.
You cannot even have the window open in hot weather because of the noise.
It seems these diversions are in place more often than not.
No thought for local residents' wellbeing - why can't they use the A2?

Perhaps the £20 you won on the Dover Striker today will make you feel better?
